PHILIP BAILEY Chinese Wall / Inside Out (Edsel) BORN in Denver, Colorado, Philip Bailey has been the lead singer with Earth Wind and Fire since 1972 and still leads the band to this day.
Chinese Wall and Inside Out were his second and third solo albums, originally released in 1984 and 1986, and now available on one budget-priced CD.
Chinese Wall was recorded in London and produced by Phil Collins. It contains the Bailey-Collins duet Easy Lover, which topped the UK charts in the Spring of 1985 and was a massive hit in the US as well.
Inside Out was produced in New York by Chic's Nile Rodgers and includes guest performances from Jeff Beck, George Duke, Ray Parker Junior and Weather Report's Omar Hakim.
