KIDS ON THE EDGE: THE GENDER CLINIC Channel 4, 10.00pm This groundbreaking series aims to shine a light on mental health among the nation's children and young people by giving viewers access to the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The first film explores the difficult decisions faced by children when they feel like they've been born into the wrong gender. While gender dysphoria is not a mental illness, it presents a whole manner of related identity issues.
THIS TIME NEXT YEAR ITV, 8.00pm Davina meets up with more people who want to change the course of their life over the space of a year. First up is a 16-year-old boy who has been unable to speak for six years after suffering damage to his windpipe. He's made the decision to undergo an operation.
THE MISSING BBC1, 9.00pm In Germany, the press descend on Eckhausen for a trial, when a seemingly vital piece of new evidence comes to light. Gemma (Keeley Hawes, below) receives a surprise phone call from Julien and finds a new purpose to help her break through her stupor. Julien's health is but he is determined not to give up in the Webster case yet.
