A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM BBC1, 8.30pm The Hollow Crown: The War of the Roses gave us a history lesson (of sorts), but now the BBC is turning its attention to Shakespeare's most magical comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's been adapted by former Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies, but while he's put his own stamp on it - and gathered an all-star cast including Matt Lucas and Maxine Peake - he assures us that he's sticking to the Bard's words.

Comedian Henning Wehn and his team of firstgeneration immigrants provide an irreverent guide to life in Britain through reports, sketches and hidden camera experiments. In the first episode, Henning reveals how to understand what Brits really mean when they tell someone their 'presentation was fantastic'.

Chris Packham (below), Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games are back at RSPB Minsmere in Suffolk as they return with the programme that follows the fortunes of wildlife around the UK, getting to know the badgers, otters, marsh harriers, avocets and other animals that live around the nature reserve.
