BEST LONGSHOT.

A forecast outsider who could be primed to outrun its likely odds

TIM VAUGHAN has the knack of rejuvenating horses from other stables, and stands a chance with Little Firecracker in the open-looking Conditional Jockeys' Novice Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter (4.50), writes Ed Quigley.

The four-year-old had been with Mandy Rowland and showed glimpses of ability without really putting her best foot forward. Now the filly is looking to get back on track with the Cowbridge handler.

Little Firecracker was good enough to beat her current stablemate and Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle runner-up Ski Sunday when on the Flat, and if Vaughan can work the oracle she could well have a say in this sphere.
