BEST FOOD The Hairy Bikers' Bakeation (BBC Two Wales, Tuesday 8pm) * WHAT a glorious series this has been. Over the past seven weeks, we've seen Si King and Dave Myers traipsing all over Europe, meeting extraordinary bakers, sampling their goodies and performing no end of mouthwatering cooking sketches. By now, of course, the gimmick of hirsute Geordie mates trekking from one unusual location to another and rustling up a calorific dish could have outstayed its welcome. However, thanks to some top banter between the dynamic duo and often stunning travelogue elements, the show is always good to the last few seconds. For the final part of their journey, they sample the wonders of Spain, especially the northern part of the country. Messrs King and Myers reveal the wonders of St Sebastian, whose delicacies include goose barnacles and pinchos (aka large tapas), and visit a Basque dining club. Also on the menu this week is Spanish bread pan rustico, a Basque chicken pie and a seafood empanada, filled with locally caught fish. Their epic 5,000-mile culinary tour concludes in Santiago de Compostela, where the dynamic duo enjoy a spectacular firework display to celebrate the 800th anniversary of St James.
