Paddy & Sally's Excellent Gypsy Adventure (Channel 5, Wednesday, 10pm) [bar] Much has been made of the gypsy and traveller worlds over the past few years, particularly on Channel 4 - where programme titles tend to somewhat inexplicably include the words "big" and "fat". Now Channel 5 are in on the act, having found success with their two-part doc in January, When Paddy Met Sally. The stars of that show, Celeb BB housemates Paddy Doherty and Sally Bercow, are back for a longer run here, as together they journey around the world to explore the lives of gypsy and traveller communities around the world, and compare their cultures and traditions with those of their British counterparts. They begin the four-part series by meeting the gitano people in their heartland of Andalusia in Spain, where they get to grips with two local pastimes: Sally learns the art of flamenco dancing, while Paddy tries his hand at bull-fighting. One might think the pair would not be easily shocked, but when they're invited to a wedding, they witness a long-standing tradition that leaves them both feeling outraged.
