BEST BIG YIN.

Billy Connolly @ Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff (March 11-12) * HAVING just been unfortunate enough to watch him in the stupendously terrible Jack Black remake of Gulliver's Travels, it's hard to remember just how funny Connolly can be.

Having fallen from grace somewhat in 2004 with an ill-judged joke too far about the then soon-to-be late British hostage in Iraq, Ken Bigley, his illustrious stand-up career felt tainted - a blip not helped by the silly purple goatee and air of condescension he wore on those irritating National Lottery ads around the same time.

But he's built up enough public goodwill over the years to ensure these two rare Welsh dates predictably end up sold-out.
