BERNSTEIN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF MADISON SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT, INC.
NEW YORK, Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- Sid Bernstein, of New York City, a legend in the music management business, and the man who first brought the Beatles and Rolling Stones to America in the early 60s, has been named vice president of Madison Sports & Entertainment Group, Inc. in charge of its Entertainment Division. Madison is a newly public company formed in June of this year, a mini-conglomerate with operations in both fields of sports and entertainment. Joseph Radcliffe, CEO of Madison, said, "we expect Mr. Bernstein to make an enormous contribution to our company, utilizing his vast contacts to bring aboard celebrities for memorabilia and other purposes, developing television properties, and arranging concerts and other special events." In recent years Mr. Bernstein has managed such talents as Melba Moore, the Rascals, Phoebe Snow, and Larry Gatlin, and was a consultant to LaToya Jackson. He has his own cable TV show in New York City, and teaches a course on the music business at the New School for Social Research.
