BENJAMIN MOORE SELECTS TRIAD TO AUTOMATE RETAIL OUTLETS
LIVERMORE, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Triad Systems Corp. (NASDAQ: TRSC) and Benjamin Moore & Co. have announced that Triad will provide automated business and inventory management systems for the Benjamin Moore paint and decorating outlets participating in its Temporary Co-Ownership (TCO) program.
Benjamin Moore has approximately 3,500 Independent Dealers nationwide, including paint and decorating centers and other retail outlets that carry its premium line of paints.
Through its TCO program, Benjamin Moore finances the operation of selected stores for a specified period, with the outlet's operator eventually assuming ownership.
William Fritz, chief financial officer of Benjamin Moore & Co., said, "We selected Triad following a year-long test of its Eagle management system, finding its flexibility and applications to be a viable solution to the increasing demand for maximum efficiency and productivity at the store level."
While about 400 outlets carrying Benjamin Moore paints are already served by Triad systems, the TCO stores have not been automated until now.
Triad will also create a telecommunications package which will permit data to be transmitted to a centralized collection point.
"We're extremely pleased to be Benjamin Moore's choice," said Skip Zuanich, vice president and general manager of Triad's Retail Hardgoods division. "We look forward to providing each store with the full complement of solutions our Eagle systems offer, from point-of- sale automation to inventory management."
