 BENEFITS OF SIMPLIFYING BUSINESS COMPUTING
AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFERED IN FREE, ONE-DAY CONFERENCE
KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- For companies and institutions facing the challenge of getting their computing systems, desktop workstations, personal computers, and business applications to work together; Digital Equipment Corporation is sponsoring a free conference on Thursday, March 5th from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Adam's Mark Hotel, I-70 and Truman Sports Complex in Kansas City.
In an informative demonstration of how to tie together dissimilar computing and networking environments, a single-day conference will show area businesses and institutions new, and more effective ways to compete by linking their departments, customers, and vendors electronically.
"DIGITAL WORLD TOUR '92, THE OPEN ADVANTAGE IN ACTION" will offer insights from top business technology experts, live demonstrations of the latest computing techniques, and workshops on how businesses and organizations of every size can manage, rather than be managed, by today's fast-changing information technology.
"Just within the last few years, organizations have purchased a wide variety of computing systems, including millions of different personal computers, and now they want to make them share information and resources," explains William R. Johnson, Jr., Digital's vice president in charge of the conference.
"DIGITAL WORLD TOUR '92" will show any organization how it can improve its means of doing business by linking heterogeneous computer systems anywhere, anyplace, at anytime.
This seventh annual edition of DIGITAL's roadshow, with 80,000 pounds of the latest in computing technology, is transported in two 65-foot tractor trailers. The tour began in Indianapolis in November and will cover over 22,000 miles. More than 10,000 managers in 30 cities throughout the United States and Canada will attend.
