 AT ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER OCT. 5-7
 ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Some 5,000 engineers, managers and executives from around the country will meet in the Anaheim Convention Center beginning today for the FABTECH West '92 Exposition and Technical Sessions. Exhibits include the latest and most effective methods of bending, shaping, cutting and welding metals.
 FABTECH West is the West Coast's largest metal forming and fabricating event, with 30,000 net square feet of exhibits and working equipment demonstrations. More than 100 companies, 25 based in the Southern California area, will display the most up-to-date fabricating machinery, automated systems, and support technologies in the world. They'll demonstrate the latest equipment and production methods to help regional fabricators remain competitive.
 The FABTECH West '92 event, sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), will run through Oct. 7.
 Exposition hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5; 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7.
 Accompanying the exposition are four technical conference sessions, held Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the nearby Pan Pacific Hotel. Topics include: sheet metal forming, setup reduction for fabrication, and two laser sessions.
