BEN J. LANCASHIRE ELECTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
AND A DIRECTOR OF TEMPLE-INLAND INC.
DIBOLL, Texas, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Temple-Inland Inc. (NYSE: TIN) today announced that Ben J. Lancashire has been elected executive vice president and a director. Lancashire, 63, will continue as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Inland Container Corporation, a Temple-Inland subsidiary based in Indianapolis.
Lancashire joined Inland Container in 1961 as manager of personnel services. He was elected vice president-personnel and employee relations in 1972, vice president-containerboard division in 1974, and executive vice president in 1977. He was elected president in 1986 and became chief executive officer in 1987. He also has been group vice president of Temple-Inland since that time.
He is chairman of the board of El Morro Corrugated Box Company, Anderson Box Company, Crockett Container Corporation, Pakway Container Corporation, and Great American Holding Company. He also is president and a director of Inland-Orange, Inc., Inland-Rome Inc., King Container Company and Lumbermen's Investment Corporation.
