BEMIS TO ACQUIRE HARGO HEALTH CARE PACKAGING BUSINESS

 Minneapolis, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Bemis Company, Inc. (NYSE: BMS) of Minneapolis, and Hargo Flexible Packaging of Exton, Pa., today announced that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding relating to the acquisition by Bemis' wholly owned subsidiary, Curwood, Inc., of the Hargo Health Care business. Hargo operates the Health Care business from its manufacturing plant in Chicago, and has sales of approximately $17 million. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 The agreement is subject to a definitive purchase and sale agreement. Curwood, Inc. operates major manufacturing facilities in Oshkosh and New London, Wis.; Murphysboro, Ill.; Freemont, Ohio; and Georgetown, Ontario.
 Bemis is a manufacturer of flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive materials, with sales of $1.1 billion. Bemis' common stock is traded on
the New York Stock Exchange. Hargo is a privately owned company.
