BEMIS TO ACQUIRE FITCHBURG COATED PRODUCTS

 MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Bemis Company, Inc. (NYSE: BMS), of Minneapolis, and Technographics, Inc., of Fitchburg, Mass., today announced that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding relating to the acquisition by Bemis' subsidiary, Morgan Adhesives Company (MACtac), of Technographics' Fitchburg Coated Products business. Fitchburg operates a pressure-sensitive materials manufacturing plant in Scranton, Penn., and has sales of approximately $80 million. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
 The agreement is subject to government approval and a definitive purchase and sale agreement.
 Morgan Adhesives Company operates major manufacturing facilities in Stow, Ohio; Nellis, Nev.; Brampton, Ontario; and Soignies, Belgium.
 Bemis is a manufacturer of flexible packaging and pressure-sensitive materials, with sales of $1.1 billion. Bemis' common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol BMS. Technographics is a privately-owned company.
