BELL ATLANTIC ADDS DIGIBOARD PRODUCTS TO ITS ISDN OFFERINGS

ARLINGTON, Va., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Bell Atlantic customers now can enjoy one-stop shopping for both ISDN lines and for customer premises equipment that provides "transparent" connections to Ethernet local area networks via ISDN.
Through an agreement announced today by Bell Atlantic and Digi International, Bell Atlantic's Teleproducts subsidiary will sell DigiBoard Telecom Group's IMAC product line of ISDN equipment.
"Adding DigiBoard's products to our line enables us to offer customers complete ISDN-based solutions for telecommuting and LAN-to-LAN connectivity applications," said Rick Macek, president of Bell Atlantic TeleProducts.
The agreement with DigiBoard is an outgrowth of Bell Atlantic's Network Alliance Program, through which the company and independent equipment providers jointly market ISDN applications, using Bell Atlantic ISDN links and ISDN-compatible hardware and software tools provided by the alliance companies.
"Bell Atlantic account executives can identify opportunities and act as a single point of contact for ISDN services and equipment backed by DigiBoard's support and technical expertise," said Eric Goldstein, manager for Bell Atlantic Network Services, Inc.
Through its alliance program, Bell Atlantic has formed agreements with more than 10 suppliers of ISDN-related products, including IBM, AT&T and Sun Microsystems.
