KIEHL'S ON CAMPUS

It's one thing to go looking for skin-care products, it's another when the products come looking for you. That'll be the case Tuesday through Thursday at USC, when the Kiehl's Since 1851 street team hits campus, giving away product samples. In addition, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Kiehl's will staff a pop-up shop at the university's Alumni Park, where visitors can purchase the Ultra Facial Cleanser, Ultra Facial Toner and other Kiehl's products. Invitations to the store will be distributed on campus, offering free Kiehl's Lip Balm No. 1 with purchases of $25 or more. The "Kiehl's on the Open Road" promotion coincides with an interactive online contest, the winner of which will receive a year's supply of products, at www.playontheopenroad.com.

COUNTING CALORIES

The Calorie King (aka dietitian Allan Borushek) has released the 2008 edition of the "Calorie, Fat & Carbohydrate Counter" (Family Health; $7.99), featuring new and improved nutritional values for most of the foods we eat. This handy little pocket guide divides its lists into categories -- ice cream and frozen yogurt, soups, candy, beer -- with calorie counts for well-known brands. It does the same for ethnic restaurant food and fast food. The book also includes a variety of weight-control guides, a diabetes guide and a protein and iron counter among other useful tools. EAU DE DKNY

DKNY has introduced two limited-edition eau de toilettes that hint at the freshness of summer. DKNY Charmingly Delicious fragrance has an apple note, enhanced with dewy water notes and citrus. DKNY Red Delicious is a cocktail of red fruits, apple and vanilla. Add roses and lush violet petals and you have a warm-weather treat. The summer fragrances are packaged in nostalgic apple juice-inspired bottles adorned with removable apple charms that can be attached to a cell phone, key ring, bracelet or necklace. Both scents retail for $55. The collection is available at most department and specialty stores.

HELPING HILTON

Kathy Hilton, mom to Paris and Nicky, will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of her floral-scented My Secret perfume, at www.macys.com, to charities fighting breast cancer and multiple sclerosis. The fundraising program, running through May, targets two conditions close to Hilton's heart -- her mother suffered from breast cancer and her mother-in-law from MS. In keeping with the mother-daughter theme, a mother and daughter can win a May 10 brunch with Hilton and her offspring at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
