 CLEVELAND, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of


Bearings, Inc. (NYSE: BER) has named two new officers for the company. According to an announcement made today by company chairman and CEO John C. Dannemiller, David R. Eshleman has been named vice president information services and Frances A. (Ollie) Martins has been named vice president marketing. Both appointments will be effective May 1, 1992.
 Eshleman is a registered professional engineer and has extensive background in information systems technology and MIS management. He succeeds to the responsibilities of Bryan H. Sanders who died in January.
 Martins, previously vice president of Industrial Aftermarket with SKF Bearing Services, has an extensive background in the marketing and sales of bearings. This is a newly created position at the company.
 Dannemiller commented, "We are pleased that Dave and Ollie are joining our company. We believe these appointments will help us move ahead and stay competitive in two important areas, data processing and marketing. We are committed to expanding our leadership in these areas by adding strong people to lead them."
