Backhaul and broadband wireless solutions provider RADWIN announced on Thursday that Irish wireless ISP BBnet deployed its solutions to provide high-capacity connectivity to rural villages.

Irish Wireless, RADWIN's Certified Partner in Ireland, was in charge of project deployment. No financial details were disclosed.

BBnet said that before RADWIN it used a license-free product and the maximum data throughput was 3Mb/s because of interference in the area. RADWIN's systems overcome RF interference and throughput increased to 17Mb/s full duplex at a distance of more than 16km.
