BANKING AND CREDIT NEWS-October 20, 2015-BBVA ranks 8th on Great Place to Work best workplaces


BBVA said it has been ranked eighth among the top 25 multinational workplaces in the annual ranking by international consultancy Great Place To Work, and is the top-ranked multinational workplace in the financial industry.

The list includes 25 of the most recognizable names in business, with Google at the top overall. To land on the list, the companies had to be recognized in the last 12 months in at least five countries in which they operate, have more than 5,000 employees throughout the world and have more than 40 percent of all their employees working outside the country where its main offices are located.

With a global workforce of more than 100,000 employees and a footprint that extends through 31 countries, the BBVA Group has been on the Great Place to Work rankings in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.

BBVA is a customer-centric global financial services group founded in 1857. The group has a solid position in Spain, it is the largest financial institution in Mexico and it has leading franchises in South America and the Sunbelt region of the United States.
