Global Banking News - 11 August 2014

Bangkok Bank (BBL) has announced a plan to increase the sale of mortgage banking products.

The firm said that it was looking to increase the number of direct sales staff to increase sale of mortgage products. The bank is of the view that such a channel would help to service potential home-buyers more quickly than if they go to one of the bank's branches.

BBL already has 200 direct sales staff that work out of the residential projects of developers in and around Bangkok, and is now planning to add 100 more.
