BAUSCH & LOMB TEEN EYE DEAL PROGRAM UPDATE; RECENTLY ANNOUNCED PROGRAM CANCELLED

ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Bausch & Lomb's recently announced "Teen Eye Deal" has been cancelled due to concerns over logistics of the program. We recently sent you press materials on the program and, therefore ask that you do not publish any mention of Teen Eye Deal. Bausch & Lomb strongly encourages parents to have their teens' eyes examined -- especially as part of their back-to-school routine. As part of its ongoing parent/teen education program, the company has developed two free brochures for parents and teens that discuss commonly asked questions about contact lenses -- the Bausch & Lomb "Teen's Guide to Contact Lenses" and the "Parent's Guide to Contact Lenses." Bausch & Lomb also offers a free trial contact lens program for teens and adults alike. For more information, consumers can call 1-800-2FREE 4U.
We encourage you to educate your readers -- many of whom are parents of teenagers -- about the importance of regular eye examinations, especially since routine vision care is often neglected during high school. Bausch & Lomb welcomes the opportunity to serve as an eye health resource. Please contact Kelly Ann Sherry or Stephanie Giannaros for more information at 617-227-2111.
