 BACK TO SCHOOL WITH A NEW LOOK; ESSAY COMPETITION FOR MAKEOVER
 ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Contact lens industry leader Bausch & Lomb has teamed up with Barbizon International modeling schools to give away a contact lens "makeover" and a tuition scholarship to any one of Barbizon's 235 schools across the country. This essay competition is open to young men and young women ages 12 to 18 who wear eyeglasses. The entry deadline is Aug. 31, 1992. Winners -- one male and one female participant -- will be announced in September 1992, timed to coincide with the very important back-to-school season.
 A Bausch & Lomb Olympic watch, sweatshirt, T-shirt, gym bag and pin, along with a Barbizon make-up kit, skin care kit and tote bag, are also included in each prize package.
 Interested teens are asked to submit a typed 92-word essay that explains "Why I need a helping hand to switch from eyeglasses to soft contact lenses in 1992." Each entry must include name, address, age and telephone number on the same page. Additionally, participants must include information on the length of time they've worn eyeglasses, their eye doctor's name (if applicable) and vision condition -- nearsighted, farsighted, astigmatism.
 Bausch & Lomb will reimburse the winning patient's practitioner for their eye care and will provide the appropriate products and solutions for their use. If the winner(s) do not have a regular eye care practitioner, Bausch & Lomb will assist them in finding one in their area.
 Entries must be postmarked no later than Aug. 31, 1992 and mailed to:
