BATTERY AUTOMATED TRANSPORTATION (BAT) AND LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LABORATORY (LLNL) ARE WORKING TO CLEAN UP THE AIR

 SAN FRANCISCO, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Vehicles (EVs) have zero-emissions. The goal is to make electric vehicles the safest and environmentally cleanest vehicles on the road.
 LLNL and BAT are jointly working to develop computer simulated crash testing for electric vehicles. This interaction is designed to benefit the entire electric vehicle industry.
 For this preliminary study, BAT is furnishing a Ford Ranger pickup truck converted to electric operation. LLNL is furnishing the finite-element analysis expertise. As test results are analyzed, both organizations will confer on structural issues that can improve safety. Methods will de developed that will help electric vehicle manufacturers build safer vehicles. Increasing safety will increase acceptance and use, which will greatly enhance environmental health.
