BASF restructures.

Effective April 1, BASF's North American Fibers Division has been combined with the company's German Fiber Intermediates Group to form the Fiber Products Division, which now has worldwide responsibility.

Based in the U.S., the division is headed by Werner Bugert, the former head of BASF's Basic Chemicals Division. R. Wayne Godwin, the past president of the Fibers Division, is the new president of BASF's Polymers Division and also has regional responsibility for BASF Canada. Walt Hubbard, former Fibers Division group vice president, Textile Products, is now group vice president, Carpet Products. He succeeded Tom Fischel, who retired. Wayne Hill becomes Fibers Division group vice president, Textile Products.
