 BASE TEN SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES INCREASED PROFITABILITY AND
 FURTHER DEBT REDUCTION IN LATEST SECOND QUARTER AND SIX MONTHS
 TRENTON, N.J., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward J. Klinsport, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Base Ten Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: BASEA), today announced results for BASE TEN's second quarter and six months ended April 30, 1992.
 Klinsport noted that the results reflect a continuation of the company's earnings growth and debt reduction. During the second quarter, outstanding debt was reduced to a current balance of $2 million, he stated.
 For the second quarter ended April 30, 1992, revenues were $3,944,000 and net earnings rose to $277,000, or $.08 per share. This compares to revenues of $7,017,000 and net loss of $4,763,000, or $1.35 loss per share, for the prior second quarter.
 For the six months ended April 30, 1992, revenues were $10,646,000 and net earnings increased to $284,000, or $.08 per share. These results compare to revenues of $15,106,000 and a net loss of $4,925,000, or $1.40 loss per share, for the previous comparable six months.
 Commenting on the results, Klinsport stated, "Results during the latest periods reflect management's strategic decision to reposition the company's basic business to the commercial sector away from prime dependence on defense."
