BARR AND FDA RESUME COURT HEARINGS
BARR AND FDA RESUME COURT HEARINGS POMONA, N.Y., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Barr Laboratories, Inc.
(AMEX: BRL) and the FDA will resume hearings in Federal District Court in Newark, N.J. on Sept. 10. For the past two weeks, Barr and the FDA have attempted to settle their differences through negotiations, but an impasse over specific issues raised in the discussions has prompted a resumption of the court proceedings.
"Our highest priority is a speedy resolution of our issues with FDA," said Barr President Edwin A. Cohen. "It continues to be our desire to reach a negotiated settlement. Unfortunately, the current impasse, for the present, requires us to return to the courtroom. We are fully prepared to present our case to the court." -0- 9/3/92 /CONTACT: Harold Cohen of Barr Laboratories, Inc., 914-362-2823/ (BRL) CO: Barr Laboratories, Inc. ST: New York IN: MTC SU:
