BARNETT NAMES WILCOX DIRECTOR OF MIDDLE MARKET BANKING JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Barnett Banks, Inc.
(NYSE: BBI) has named Tory Wilcox director of Middle Market Banking. In her new position, Wilcox is responsible for the development of Barnett's service to the corporate middle market (business with annual sales from $5 million to $50 million).
Wilcox joined Barnett Bank of Palm Beach County in 1981 as a customer service representative. She was named credit officer for that bank in 1983, and assistant vice president of Corporate Banking in 1985. She was elevated to senior vice president and regional office administrator in 1988, appointed senior vice president of Corporate Banking in 1989, and named manager of Corporate Banking in 1991. Wilcox holds a master's degree from Columbia University in New York. Prior to joining Barnett, she was a management trainee for Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York.
