BANNER FLYING AFTER VICTORY; MCGRATH CUP FINAL.

Clare 1-9 Cork

GORDON KELLY'S long-range goal proved the difference between the sides as Clare lifted the McGrath Cup for the first in over a decade yesterday.

The Bannermen held a 1-3 to 0-3 advantage at the break in Miltown Malbay but Cork rallied in the second period to level by the 50th minute.

However, dogged Clare reeled off four points without reply in the closing stages to claim the trophy for the first time since 2008.
