BANKERS OR BLOWOUTS?
Would the likes of J J The Jet Plane and King's Apostle have had the class to go close in Singapore? I think they would have been closer than Diabolical, and we'll only find out after today's race which of the market leaders is the most talented.
Conclusion I think there are four in with a serious shout and I couldn't rave about Sacred Kingdom's chances. Having said that, laying him is a risky proposition and I like King's Apostle each-way.
Amerigo 5.35 Royal Ascot SP forecast 11-4 Looked unlucky in the Chester Cup on his penultimate start, before disappointing off a 2lb higher mark in a Haydock handicap at the end of last month. He was staying on really well at Chester and I think any trip over 1m6f will suit him on the Flat, including the near-2m6f of today's race. The big question is whether you forgive him that poor run at Haydock last time, as it was a shocker.
Conclusion The four-year-old still has a lot more going for him than the majority in this line-up and if he runs to his best, I suspect that will be good enough..
