BANKERS OR BLOWOUTS? Killer angles on today's racing with Graeme Rodway.
Bean Feasa 3.05 Gowran Park SP forecast 5-4 Well-bred half-sister to the smart Teofilo and she stepped up on last season's maiden form when fifth in the 7f Group 3 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on her seasonal reappearance this month. Jim Bolger's filly sets a high standard on that form and is bred to stay 1m11/2f, but it is a worry she didn't go on from a promising first run last season. Conclusion Plenty of dangers and a tough call, but should win.
Taj Mahal 4.05 Gowran Park SP forecast 6-5 This will be his tenth run and he is exposed in comparison to his rivals, but this Dundalk handicap winner has strong form on his last three starts. A close third in a Group 3 at Leopardstown and fifth in a Saint-Cloud Group 1 last season, Aidan O'Brien's colt was second in Leopardstown's 2,000 Guineas Trial on his return and should improve for the run. Conclusion Best run came over 1m2f and banker back up in trip. s s
