 BANKATLANTIC ANNOUNCES LOAN AND CHECK PROCESSING ASSISTANCE
 TO HURRICANE ANDREW VICTIMS
 FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- To reduce the financial strain on South Floridians resulting from Hurricane Andrew, BankAtlantic today announced the following decisions which take effect immediately:
 1. BankAtlantic is providing its customers in good standing with payment extensions of up to 60 days on all types of consumer loans. To take advantage of this offer, consumer loan customers should contact their BankAtlantic loan officer as soon as possible.
 2. BankAtlantic loan customers in good standing may be granted increases of up to $500 in their lines of credit. Customers should contact their BankAtlantic loan officers to request the increases.
 3. BankAtlantic has made special arrangements to process emergency insurance checks on an expedited basis for customers, and for non- customers with proper identification.
