BANK OF SOUTHINGTON CEO AND PRESIDENT JOSEPH E. LAPLUME TO RESIGN

 SOUTHINGTON, Conn., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bank of Southington (BSO) Chairman of the Board Roman F. Garbacik announced today that Joseph E. LaPlume, CEO and president of the bank, has tendered his resignation effective Dec. 31, 1993. Mr. LaPlume will be moving back to Rhode Island to care for his elderly parents and to pursue a banking career there. A new president search committee has been formed and interviewing has begun. Until a new president is selected Roman F. Garbacik, along with the bank's senior management team, will carry out the duties of the resigning officer.
