BANK OF MEXICO TAPS MINNEAPOLIS-BASED TELTECH FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ANSWERS
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Teltech Resource Network Corporation has been awarded a contract to provide its services to the National Bank of Mexico. The resource will be used to assess the potential environmental impact of proposed industrial projects for which bank funding is requested.
Nacional Financiera and its 15 satellite offices became familiar with Teltech's capabilities while serving as access sites for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's global clearinghouse system, which Teltech helped design and now delivers. The clearinghouse is intended primarily to assist developing countries counter the environmental impact of industrialization.
"The Bank of Mexico's decision to engage Teltech is a reflection of their determination to actively support that country's emerging environmental protection agenda," said Richard C. Anderson, Jr., Teltech chief executive officer. "We're very pleased at being invited to play a role in this vanguard effort."
Teltech offers three key services: an expert network that allows clients to speak directly via telephone with leading specialists in more than 5,600 technical areas; a literature searching service whereby a Teltech searcher accesses the world's major databases while the client is in simultaneous telephone and computer screen contact; and a supplier locating service.
Teltech is headquartered in Minneapolis. Among its clients are scientists and engineers at more than half of the Fortune 500 firms. Teltech was named to the Inc. 500 list of the country's fastest growing private companies.
