LOS ANGELES, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of America announced today that it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the robbery and shooting of a customer outside its Tarzana, Calif., branch yesterday evening.
The incident occurred last night approximately 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot outside the bank's 18337 Ventura Blvd. location. The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg, described his assailant as a caucasian male with a fair complexion and freckles, 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 11 inches, to 6 feet 1 inch, with a thin build, and wearing dark baggy clothing. The assailant fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was treated and released from Kaiser Hospital in Woodland Hills.
"We are outraged by this violent assault on one of our customers," said Ron Nemitz, senior vice president and manager of the bank's West Valley District. "For this reason, we have posted a $5,000 reward in the hope that someone will come forward with information that will help the police identify and apprehend the suspect."
