BANISTER AWARDED NORTH BAY PIPELINE CONTRACT SCARBOROUGH, Ontario, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Banister Inc.
(AMEX: BAN; Toronto, Montreal) announced today that its pipeline subsidiary, Banister Pipelines, is part of a Joint Venture that has been awarded a contract by TransCanada PipeLines for 140 kilometers (87 miles) of 1,067mm (42 inch) pipeline in the Province of Ontario.
The project is to be constructed in three loops southeast of North Bay near Deux Rivieres, Pembrooke and Stittsville. The project will commence in June and be completed by November 1992. This is the second project awarded by TransCanada PipeLines to this joint venture, totalling 252 kilometers (157 miles), for construction this year.
