BANISTER ASSOCIATED COMPANY - NICHOLLS-RADTKE LTD. - ANNOUNCES $110 MILLION CONTRACT

 TORONTO, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Banister Inc. (AMEX: BAN) says that its Cambridge, Ontario associated Company, Nicholls-Radtke Ltd., has announced that it has signed a contract to design and build a 102 MW Cogeneration Plant at Windsor, Ontario for West Windsor Power, an Ontario General Partnership consisting of Power Link Corporation and Tractabel Canada Inc.
 Nicholls-Radtke, in a 50/50 joint venture with Brown & Root, a division of Haliburton Canada, Inc., will provide engineering, procurement and construction services to complete this project on a turnkey basis. The value of the contract to the joint venture is in excess of $110 million and Nicholls-Radtke will act as managing partner.
 Engineering activity is currently underway and initial site work will begin shortly. The overall project, scheduled for start-up in 1995, will supply power into the electrical grid under a power sale agreement with Ontario Hydro. The plant will also supply process steam to ADM Agri Industries Ltd. and The Canadian Salt Co. Ltd.
 Nicholls-Radtke is a major EPC Contractor with extensive experience in the design and construction of cogeneration facilities.
