 BALTIMORE GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGE
 BALTIMORE, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (NYSE: BGE) has elected Ronald W. Lowman vice president-Fossil Energy, effective Jan. 1, 1993.
 He will replace J. Thomas Wellener, who will retire with more than 38 years of service.
 Born in Baltimore, Lowman began his career with BG&E in 1968 after receiving a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland. He held positions of increasing responsibility in various engineering departments of the company before being named manager-Generation Maintenance in 1987. He assumed his current position of manager-Fossil Engineering in 1989.
 Lowman is a registered professional engineer in Maryland and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Among his professional and industry affiliations, he is a member of the Edison Electric Institute, the Power Plant Research Advisory Committee of Maryland and the Baltimore Labor-Management Committee. He has also been active in the United Way, serving as chairman and vice-chairman of the United Way Business Partnership of Anne Arundel County. Lowman lives in Millersville with his wife and four children.
