BALLY MANUFACTURING CORPORATION'S DOCKSIDE CASINO IN TUNICA, MISS., RECEIVES STATE GAMING COMMISSION SITE APPROVAL

CHICAGO, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur M. Goldberg, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Bally Manufacturing (NYSE: BLY) announced today the approval by the Mississippi Gaming Commission of the company's latest dockside casino site in Tunica, Miss.
The new 30,000 square foot casino site is expected to include over 1,000 slot machines and 57 table games. The Bally site is centrally located on an area that is planned to include 10 other casinos on boardwalk frontage. In addition, it is anticipated that there will be a 35,000 square foot reception area and a 15,000 square foot food court.
"This is a significant step toward completion of Bally's new dockside casino in Tunica by year-end 1993. Bally will have a major presence in this new competitive multi-casino project in Mississippi," said Mr. Goldberg.
The Bally casino is part of an overall gaming project that will infuse $250 million in new investment and approximately 11,000 new jobs into one of Mississippi's poorest areas. The Tunica casino is in addition to the previously announced Biloxi, Miss., site where the company intends to operate another dockside casino by spring 1994.
Recently, Bally announced its intention to actively pursue casino gaming projects in markets outside Atlantic City, Nevada and other jurisdictions besides Mississippi.
Bally Manufacturing Corporation is one of the world's foremost operators of casino hotel resorts and fitness centers.
