 MINNEAPOLIS, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- BallistiVet, Inc.


(NASDAQ: BVET) announced today that its board of directors has named David Watrud as the company's interim chief executive officer. Dr. Lester C. Krogh, who has been chairman of the board and CEO since October 1991 will remain as chairman and continue to maintain his active role in the business.
 David Watrud continues as CEO of Watrud Hedeen Associates, a professional marketing and strategic planning firm that works exclusively with emerging growth businesses. Watrud Hedeen has been retained by BallistiVet to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan for the company's animal health products that are currently licensed or under development. Prior to founding Watrud Hedeen Associates, Mr. Watrud was president and chief operating officer of Oxford Veterinary Laboratories Inc., a successful manufacturer and marketer of vaccines for the animal health industry, located in Worthington, Minn.

 BallistiVet is a Minnesota-based company which manufactures and sells products for the cattle health care market, which approximates $1 billion in the U.S. The company's patented ballistic vaccine delivery system, which replaces traditional needle and syringe methods, allows inoculation of animals from ranges up to 50 feet using an air powered rifle.
