CELTIC rebel Bobo Balde has not been seen at the club's training ground since August.

The big defender is still pocketing a massive pounds 28,000-a-week from the contract he signed when Martin O'Neill was the Parkhead manager.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan lifted the lid on the situation when he insisted Balde has not been being fined on a regular basis.

There had been speculation that Balde had called in FIFA to probe his alleged treatment by Celtic.

But Strachan insisted: "I don't think Bobo has been fined since pre-season and, anyway, he hasn't been at our Lennotown training ground since August. I haven't really seen him for five months."

Now, the one-time fans' cult figure trains with the kids at Celtic's old Barrowfield ground as Celtic still try to unload him.

Strachan added: "The ball has really been in his court since I arrived here and nothing has changed."
