BURLINGTON, Mass., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Bachman Information Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BACH) today announced that it will no longer participate as a member in the IBM International Alliances for AD/Cycle, SystemView and Information Warehouse.
"We are changing the nature of our relationship with IBM to support BACHMAN's focus on a broader set of solutions for customers as they migrate from mainframe to client/server and downsized computing environments," said Arnold A. Kraft, president and chief executive officer, Bachman Information Systems, Inc.
"BACHMAN's customers need the ability to understand, access, and use their organization's information across a wide variety of applications and information systems installed in their companies. We will continue to have a multi-faceted relationship with IBM and will work together on a country by country and project by project basis to meet the needs of our joint customers worldwide."
BACHMAN will retain IBM as its distributor in 16 countries throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim as well as in Switzerland and Austria.
Headquartered in Burlington, Mass., Bachman Information Systems, Inc. develops, markets and supports an integrated line of software solutions that enable the rapid development, maintenance and migration of enterprise-critical business information systems.
