BACHMAN ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF BOB HUGHES AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

 BURLINGTON, Mass., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Bachman Information Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BACH) today announced the resignation of Bob Hughes from his position of chief operating officer, effective immediately.
 Hughes' direct reports, including Bachman's operating and distribution units -- Application Development, Data Management, North American Operations and International Operations -- will now report directly to Arnold Kraft, Bachman's president and CEO. The company does not plan to seek a replacement for Hughes.
 "With Bob's assistance, we have developed a solid position in the fast growing client/server computing market and have restructured and streamlined our operations," said Kraft. "Today, we are well poised to move ahead with our long term strategy, and we wish Bob well."
