Azercell Telecom JV, a mobile operator in Azerbijan, has revealed it has reached its aim of expanding its coverage and providing high-quality telecomms services in each area of the country.

According to the operator, it installed 30 further radio base stations in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan in December last year. It said 23 are situated in Baku, with the remaining seven located in Absheron, Akstafa, Ali-Bayramly, Gabala, Khanlar, Shamkir and Sumgait.

Azercell Telecom increased the number of its stations in order to provide communications for its subscribers in each corner of the country.

The operator installed a total of 328 stations last year and has also installed two Home Location Registers, 13 Base Stations Controller Systems, 16 Mobile Services Switching Centers and 1,078 base radio stations, to date.
