Azerbaijan presents logotype for Baku-2015 European Games.

BAKE[pounds sterling] (CyHAN)- The presentation of the logotype of First European Games that will be held in Azerbaijan in 2015 took place simultaneously in Baku, Rome and Madrid on Nov.23.

Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov who attended the event in Rome said at a videoconference that Azerbaijan is proud of the fact that the First European Games will be held in Baku and will do its best in order to hold them at a high level.

The author of the Games' logotype is 35-year-old Adam Yunisov.

Yunisov said that in this logotype he tried to express the desire of Azerbaijan and its people to host the First European Games.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov, Olympic champions Farid Mansurov, Zemfira Meftahetdinova and Namik Abdullayev took part at the presentation in Baku. There was presented a video about Azerbaijan before the presentation of the logotype.

European games are held every four years. Baku was granted the right to host the First European Games. The holding, organization and management of the Games will be carried out by the European Olympic Committee. The European games were founded on December 9, 2012 in Rome at the session of the European Olympic Committee's General Assembly.(Cihan/Trend)
