Ayr of satisfaction as Mischiefs reach last four; junior ice hockey.

WHITLEY Mischiefs' Under-Nines took part in the annual North Ayrshire Sam Wallace Memorial Tournament.

They made a good start in their first game against North Ayrshire Sabres, defeating them 4-1 with Evie-Mae Tindale {2}, Harry Irwin and Jacob Barnes on the scoresheet.

They then faced Murrayfield Racers and in a back-and-forth game triumphed 5-3 with goals from Nathan Hartley {3}, Stuart Hall and Tindale.

In their third match, Mischiefs lost 2-0 to Ayr Bruins with some outstanding netminding from Oliver Payette before completing the round-robin format with a 6-1 defeat to Belfast Giants - Hartley claiming the lone Mischiefs reply.

The semi-final stage placed Mischiefs up against Ayr Bruins, who went on to win the tournament.

Stuart Hall was named in the All-Star Team for the tournament, being recognised for his sound defensive work.
