Awards to celebrate inspirational youths.

DO you know a young person who goes the extra mile to bring together people of different backgrounds? The Coventry Association of International Friendship (CAIF) seeks to promote international friendship, understanding and peace - and has announced its annual prize for young people.

The award is offered to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of Coventry's young people in promoting a culture of international friendship, understanding and peace. It also aims to inspire others to learn from young people and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.

The prize is open to anyone up to 25 years old (as of 31 August 2017) in one of three age categories; Child (up to 14), Youth (15 to 18) and Young Adult (19 to 25).

Entrants are invited to submit an entry in the form of an essay of between 500 and 1,000 words, a poem, a photographic essay, a moving image or a musical composition.

First prize wins PS250, second prize PS150 and third prize PS100, each with a certificate.
