Awards for charity.

Real Deal Plus REAL Deal Plus, the local charity which operates from Ashington Life Centre, the former Old Police Station in Ashington, were the proud recipients of an award in the High Sheriff of Northumberland's Youth Against Crime Awards in recognition of "great and valuable services to the community".

Teen Bar member and youth volunteer Shannon Callaghan collected the certificate from the High Sheriff at the ceremony in Northumberland Church of England Academy.

Davey Falcus, Real Deal Plus' CEO received a special award of Most Inspirational Leader.

Ashington Life Centre now operates seven days a week and has developed its services to include a job club, life skills courses and emergency food bank, among many things.
