Avoid the jams.

GOLF fans are being urged to leave their cars behind and let the trains and buses take the strain during the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond this week.

ScotRail will run a half-hourly service from Glasgow Queen Street to Balloch station - with the trains running from Glasgow Central instead on Sunday.

First Bus will also lay on a fleet of coaches to shuttle crowds from Balloch to the course and back at discounted rates. They will operate every half-hour from 7.20am until the last bus leaves Loch Lomond at 7.55pm.

For more information about the trains call 08457 484950 and for bus details phone 08708 7272 71.

Supporters who do drive their car to the course can take advantage of free parking at the public entrance.
