(Nasdaq:AQNT), today released the first "Corporate Intranets Best Practices Report: A User-Driven Web 2.0 Perspective," from its Enterprise Solutions practice. Since companies rarely have access to employee intranets other than their own, it can be difficult to gauge: How does our intranet compare? How mature is our intranet? What's next?

In the new report Avenue A | Razorfish educates business leaders and their intranet managers in human resources, IT and communications on how intranets evolve along the different stages of maturity, ranging from grass-roots communications tools managed by departments, to rich corporate-wide environments that integrate voice, email, and contextual information on desktops and mobile devices. The interactive agency also shares important lessons uncovered while running an intranet at a particular stage, and strategies and pitfalls to consider when evolving an intranet.

"For the first time, companies in the United States have the context to gauge the maturity of their intranets." Avenue A | Razorfish introduces the Intranet Maturity Framework(TM), which defines and analyzes for the first time the six stages of intranet maturity to help corporations assess the maturity level of their intranets and understand how to improve. For each of the six different stages of maturity, Avenue A | Razorfish analyzes eight dimensions: sponsorship, governance, user needs, experience design, technology, training, adoption and ROI metrics. The framework allows a company to analyze their intranets against other similar intranets and enables managers to identify areas of weakness and determine strategic priorities.
