Automatic deflasher gets 'Instant-Recall' memory. (Keeping up with Composites).

A reciprocating-conveyor blast system for deflashing thermoset parts has been updated with new PLC controls that can store and recall set-up parameters such as which guns are active, conveyor indexing speed, dwell time, and gun movement. New controls on the model TRR-900 from Guyson Corp., Saratoga Springs, N.Y., can store well over 100 set-ups.

Guyson sources say the upgrade was prompted partly by an upsurge in interest in return-to-operator deflashers for at-the-press use in compact, integrated work cells. The TRR-900 has a built-in cart on which parts are fixtured. The cart reciprocates automatically between the load/unload station and the blast chamber.
